ABOUT ME:
In my professional experience, I have enjoyed working with children, teens, and adults in schools, community mental health centers, juvenile detention centers, and nonprofit organizations. Through all of these settings, I’ve found genuine connection and authenticity to be powerful tools in the healing process. In my work, I’ve supported people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship distress, body image issues, life transitions, and LGBTQIA+-specific concerns. Additionally, I am passionate about the use of art as a form of reflection and self-exploration. My understanding of creative healing approaches was cultivated while working at Sky-ART, an arts-based community mental health center in South Chicago. In my work, I hope to incorporate the unique interests of each client into the therapeutic process to provide individualized care.
I received my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Loyola Chicago. My education has helped me to embody a client-centered, holistic lens with an understanding of institutionalized racism, generational trauma, and other systemic factors that should be taken into consideration throughout the healing process.
