ABOUT ME:
To say that the past two years of a global pandemic has mentally, physically, and emotionally impacted us as human beings is an understatement. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, I am here to help navigate life’s challenges and collaborate not only on your mental health journey thus far, but also what’s to come. I practice with a client-centered approach and enjoy the beauty in co-creating a therapeutic dynamic. Allowing ourselves to be vulnerable and exploring the unknown can be overwhelming - I provide a warm, safe space that accentuates your values, strengths, and beliefs while increasing self-awareness to what has been inside of you all along. Together, we can expand on previous coping skills while also developing new ones to help grow throughout your journey.
I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Loyola University Chicago and in 2016 went on to receive my Master’s in Counseling Psychology with a focus in the treatment of addiction disorders from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I have worked in a wide range of therapeutic settings, from community mental health to private practice, and most recently with those involved with the criminal justice system. Working in a variety of settings has given me the opportunity to work with individuals facing a number of life’s challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use/addiction, mood disorders, chronic mental illness, gender identity, grief and loss, relational stressors, and difficult life transitions. Throughout my clinical experience, my passion has been working with the LGBTQAI+ community. I have received continuing educational training from the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH).
If I had one goal for each of my clients to take away from therapy, it would be to take the time to take care of yourself. I am here to tell you that you deserve it! Not only as a therapist, but as a human navigating this thing we call life, I am a strong proponent of self care. Outside of session I enjoy spending time with family and friends, partaking in a run, catching live music at a local hotspot, or snuggling up on the couch with my cats and a good book. I am looking forward to embarking on this therapeutic journey with you.
I am exclusively providing Telehealth services.
