ABOUT ME:
I received my Master’s degree in Counseling with a specialization in Forensic Counseling from Adler University. As a gender-nonconforming, queer person, I recognize the complexities, challenges, and beauty of developing and embracing our identities. I am compassionate and I value genuine connection and authenticity as powerful tools in the healing process. I invite collaboration in creating a warm, non-pathologizing space in which clients feel safe and secure to heal, reflect, explore, and further develop their sense of self.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in a trauma-informed, client-centered, and holistic lens. I appreciate the differences in processing discomfort and life challenges in adults versus children.
I highlight play and art as valuable forms of processing and expressing life experiences among youth clients. I have experience working with those impacted by the foster care system, homelessness, life changes, societal injustice, systemic oppression, trauma and adverse experiences, emotional dysregulation, grief, depression, and anxiety. I am also passionate about working with youth encountering school and behavioral issues and challenges related to self-image and self-esteem.
I firmly believe you are the expert of your life, and together we can create a non-judgmental space in which you feel more secure and connected to yourself to explore your experiences as a person in this world.
